På vägen tillbaka till Auckland från Taupo stannade vi på ett ställe som hette Rainbow Springs i Rotorua för att se Kiwifåglar. Vi fick höra hur de föder upp fåglarna, äggkläckningsprocessen, och sedan släpper ut dom i det vilda där det inte finns några rovdjur som kan jaga dom. De gör detta eftersom Kiwifågeln är utrotningshotad. Vi fick inte ta några bilder i rummet där det fanns levande Kiwifåglar som sprang omkring, men vi kunde ta foton av uppstoppade, så ni kan se hur de ser ut.
On my way back to Auckland from Taupo, we stopped at a place called Rainbow Springs in Rotorua to see Kiwibirds. We got to hear how they raise they birds, how the eggs hatch, and then they release the bird out into the wild where there are no predators to hunt them. They do this because the Kiwibird is endangered. We weren’t allowed to take pictures in the room where the birds wererunning around, but we could take pictures of the ones on display (they weren’t alive), so you can see how they look.
